  • To support the Trust Engineers in the delivery of a cost-effective and efficient engineering maintenance and repair service to all properties owned or leased by the Tees, Esk, and Wear Valleys NHS FT for the purpose of healthcare.
  • To perform planned and failure maintenance and installation on all electrical services, plants, and equipment at all properties owned or leased by the Trust.
  • To fulfill the necessary service requirements, the postholder is required to perform skilled, semi-skilled, and other tasks that are beyond their primary competencies.
  • To provide support to other contractors and professionals in accordance with their service requirements.
  • To guarantee that all tools, apparatus, and machinery utilized in the execution of duties are consistently tested and maintained in accordance with the most recent standards.
  • To guarantee that the environment is at all times secure for patients, staff, contractors, and visitors to the trust, the work must be conducted in accordance with health and safety requirements.

About us

The position necessitates collaboration with other engineering team members and, when necessary, with the building team, while operating within a limited engineering team. Providing coverage in the teams’ area of responsibility, which includes Durham and Darlington, as well as in other estates teams if necessary.

  • An “on-call” rota is in operation during off-hours, and the postholder will be obligated to participate in the rota system as needed to guarantee the continuity of service to the Trust premises.

Essential

  • Successful completion of an electrical bias apprenticeship that is recognized (electrical, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning).

  • Literacy and Numeracy to Level 2

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
