Essential

  • GCSE Maths and English or a high level of written English, numeracy, and IT skills
  • A formal technical qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ in a health-related discipline, or equivalent skills acquired through in-service development or experience.
  • Through in-service development or experience, a foundation degree in rehabilitation or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Work experience as a therapy assistant in an acute physical health setting that is relevant I have extensive experience working with patients with complex healthcare requirements in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Working with patients from a diverse multicultural community.
  • Experience in the application of highly competent handling techniques to facilitate the movement and/or rehabilitation of clients
  • Experience in applying acquired skills in a practical setting.

Desirable

  • NHS experience.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Possessing a demonstrated capacity to enhance and cultivate one’s understanding of medical conditions within Oler People’s Services.
  • Comprehension of the effects of senescence and disability
