Responsibilities of Assistant Psychologist Jobs:

• Under the guidance of a clinical psychologist, engage in and contribute to the execution of comprehensive functional assessments, which include direct observation in a variety of care settings, data collection and evaluation, and interviews with caregivers.
• To support the Psychology Service’s formal assessments by collecting relevant data and background information, conducting observations, and assisting in the operation of assessment instruments.
• To assist in the assessment and mitigation of potential hazards, including those that may endanger individual safety, as well as the development of collaborative crisis strategies in collaboration with service recipients and their custodians.
• Collaborate with the individual and their caregivers to assist the clinical psychologist and other team members in the implementation and monitoring of intervention programs. This may entail the provision of direct modeling, the development of accessible resources (such as social stories and easy-to-read materials), and the participation in training sessions with staff and caregivers.
