Responsibilities of Therapy Support Worker Jobs in UK

  • To collaborate with multidisciplinary counterparts in the Neurological Therapy Team and within Therapy Services as a team member
  • This position entails collaborating with qualified therapists to facilitate the safe and effective treatment and discharge of patients with a diverse range of conditions.
  • Under the direct and indirect supervision of an assigned therapist, key responsibilities include assisting therapy staff in the execution of assessments and treatment programs, as well as delegating therapy duties in the designated clinical area. This will involve collaborating with neurological patients in all inpatient wards and in the acute stroke unit.
  • To administer clinical interventions that are directed toward specific objectives under the direct supervision of any of the following: Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and dietitians
  • In accordance with national and local standards, document and report the assessments or treatment administered and the patient’s response in the appropriate records.
  • To support the therapy staff in the therapy department by performing administrative, clerical, and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Requirements for liaison with the therapy team, patients, caregivers, or family, as well as the broader multidisciplinary team, include effective communication skills. Legal requirements necessitate comprehensive documentation. Additional administrative responsibilities will be necessary.
  • To conduct routine maintenance inspections of clinical areas and equipment within designated clinical areas
