This is a novel and thrilling position in which you will collaborate with the Regional Mortuary Manager to establish and sustain a regional mortuary and post-mortem service that spans the Health Boards of Swansea Bay and Hywel Dda University.

This will guarantee the provision of a regional mortuary service that is safe, secure, effective, and comprehensive, meeting the requirements of the communities, coroners, and pathologists in South West Wales.

The day-to-day support and supervision of both the APT and trainee APT will be your responsibility. You must possess both the Certificate and the Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology, and you will be expected to work independently and perform a wide range of responsibilities that will provide an expert level of theoretical and practical knowledge and experience.

The mortuary and all aspects of its operation necessitate that you apply your understanding of the relevant laws and codes of practice.

  • You will be responsible for the daily line management and supervision of the site-based Mortuary Service in this intriguing and diverse position, providing strong leadership and support to all staff.
