- BTEC HND/C in MPPM/or equivalent experience + professional exam ECNE Part I and Part II or MSc Clinical Science in Neurophysiology gained as part of the STP plus knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through additional courses, training, or experience.
- Alternatively, BSc Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology), equivalent formal specialist training, or other appropriate qualifications.

- A minimum of three years of extensive experience.
- Capable of conducting a variety of investigations, such as routine, sleep-deprived, protracted, and portable EEGs, without supervision and generating a precise report.
