To support the trust’s data and analytics requirements, we will help design, implement, and optimize data pipelines for the purpose of loading and maintaining data warehouses. The individual in this position will be a technical expert in data engineering tools and practices, and they will be responsible for the development of scalable and robust data architectures to facilitate advanced analytics and reporting capabilities throughout the organization.

The post holder will be accountable for the development and deployment of the trust’s data within the data warehouse environment. This environment is comprised of multiple SQL Server databases that capture data from the trust’s diverse data sources, including clinical systems, electronic patient record systems, electronic staff records, finance, and other disparate internal and external data sources.

  • Ensure that the solutions developed, tested, and implemented in the SQL Server environment and business intelligence (BI) reporting software satisfy the end user’s needs and the Data Engineering team’s development standards.
  • Providing assistance in the advancement of technical BI skills throughout the broader Insight & Analytics department, including but not limited to Tableau, ETL (SSIS and/or DTS), and T-SQL.
  • Collaborate with business consumers and analytical teams to create high-quality data models for the purpose of reporting and dashboarding.
