University Hamburg Opens Merit Scholarships 2025

The University of Hamburg has opened applications for its 2025 Merit Scholarships, aimed at recognizing and supporting outstanding students. Funding Package:
For a total of 12 months, selected recipients may receive up to €992 per month over the course of two consecutive semesters. The scholarship has a maximum funding duration of two years and is renewable. Scholarships are disbursed on the first day of each month during the funding period, which commences on either 1 October 2025 or 1 October 2026, contingent upon the application cycle.

- 15 October 2025 – Funding period from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
Important Notice: The October 2025 application round will be the last autumn intake. From 2026 onward, applications will only be accepted once a year, by 15 April, 2026.
