Education/ Qualifications

Essential

  • BTEC HND/C in MPPM/or equivalent experience + professional exam ECNE Part I and Part II or MSc Clinical Science in Neurophysiology gained as part of the STP plus knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through additional courses, training, or experience.
  • Alternatively, BSc Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology), equivalent formal specialist training, or other appropriate qualifications.

Desirable

Registration with the RCCP, HCPC, or AHSC

Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of three years of extensive experience.
  • Capable of conducting a variety of investigations, such as routine, sleep-deprived, protracted, and portable EEGs, without supervision and generating a precise report.
  • Without supervision, executes all EPs and NCS modalities.
  • Experience in the daily supervision of a designated work area.

Desirable

Acquisition experience with IOM.

Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities

Essential

  • Effective communication abilities
  • a solid foundation in clinical neurophysiology. Capable of generating persuasive written reports (e.g., IELTS level 7 exam or equivalent, in cases where English is not the primary language).
  • Proficient in the operation of diagnostic apparatus on the ward and in the department.
